Medical Assistant Training Western School of Health & Business Careers - Pittsburgh Diploma Program
The Medical Assistant program is intended for an individual who exhibits interest in working with patients in a medical setting and seeks training for this position offering personal satisfaction. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED. The Medical Assistant Program at Western School of Health and Business Careers - Pittsburgh is designed to provide individuals with the necessary skills to assist the physician in various medical settings. Training is provided through lecture, demonstration, and practice. Also, this program cooperates with letter writing services, because in order to enter our academy, you need to have a letter of recommendation from various medical courses. Unfortunately, students don't know how to write letters themselves, so it is better to order a professional recommendation letter to be sure of its quality.
Students are expected to attend classes Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
As you progress through the program, you can learn techniques to prepare patients for various types of examinations and treatments, i.e., how to administer electrocardiograms, obtain and analyze blood and urine samples. In addition, you can learn various subjects in theory, medical ethics, professional behavior, and etiquette, patient interface, as well as basic office procedures. At the conclusion of 30 weeks of classroom/laboratory training, you will be placed in either a clinic or physician's office for an 8 week externship. You will then be able to sit for the Registered Medical Assistant examination given at designated times throughout the year.
Registration or certification requirements for taking and passing the examination are not controlled by the school but by outside agencies and are subject to change by the agency without notice to the school. Therefore, the School cannot guarantee that you will be eligible to take certification exams at all or at any specific time, regardless of their eligibility status upon enrollment.
The Medical Assistant Program is accredited by ABHES (Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools) 7777 Leesburg Pike, Suite 730, Falls Church, VA 22043, Phone:
